MADISON'S 8TH BIRTHDAY!

Madison had such a fun birthday! We planned a surprise party for her at the bowling alley on Friday after school. She thought the party was going to be on Saturday, so she was really surprise when she walked in the bowling alley door and all of her friends jumped up and said surprise! That night she had another party with the grandparents. She got lots of gifts including 2 new zhu zhu pets and a slide, running wheel, house, clothes and a bed to go with it, a set of golf clubs in a bag, blanket, lip gloss maker, bead sets, squinkies, scriptures, baptism books, clothes, PJ's and jewelry. Today, her real birthday, we went out to eat to the Old Spaghetti Factory and Christmas shopping. She said this has been the best birthday ever! We love Madison so much and are so glad she has been part of our family for the past 8 years! We are looking forward to her baptism day on December 4th.

Trey's 3rd Birthday!

Trey had such a fun birthday this year! Thursday, September 30 was his real birthday, so he started out with breakfast in bed (except he wanted to eat it on the couch instead). He then got to open his gifts from us. He got a cool easel, finger paints, chalk, markers with stamps, sea creatures and I made a tiger superhero cape for him because he loves tigers and superheroes. He ran around the house all morning in his new cape. We then got ready and I took the boys to the Dinosaur Park with Krista and her kids. He was a little nervous of the dinosaurs at first. It was such a beautiful day to be outside. We had a great time!

Friday, we had a celebration with the extended family. I made him a cute jungle cake. He got really spoiled with all the gifts. He got a helicopter, tiger, tent, large army, scuba diver & pilot guys, tag book, superheroes, hexbug, gun and clothes. That is a lot of gifts for one little boy! The kids were entertained for hours after the party.

Visit to Boise

We just got back from visiting Kalisa, Ed and their family in Boise. We loved getting to see baby Ella and the kids enjoyed playing with their cousins. We had a noisy house full of 7 kids. We went swimming, played at a park with a splash pad, played games at Wahooz, made sugar cookies and the kids loved playing in the backyard with the hose and frog. We had such a great time! The kids were sad to come back home.

Teige's 5th Birhday!

I know I am very late posting Teige's Birthday pictures because we have been gone so much this summer. He had a great time at his swim party with his friends. We played water games, threw water balloons, waded in our little pool and ate cake and ice cream. He has grown up so much in the last year. We are proud of him and all he is learning every day. He is our innovative child. He is always coming up with ideas and figuring out how everything works! We love him!

FAMILY VACATION!

We just got back from an awesome family vacation. We stayed in Island Park for a week, visited Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole area. We had so much fun seeing the beautiful country and enjoying the outdoors. We kept busy the entire time. We floated down the river on a raft, visited Bear World and the Grizzly and Wolf Museum, hiked to several waterfalls, saw some cool wildlife including a wolf, elk, buffalo, and bears, hit golf balls at the driving range, swam, fished, caught frogs, and feed squirrels. We enjoyed every bit of it!

Mile Run!

Madison just qualified to do the mile run at school and Friday was the big day. Her goal time from the school was to run it in 10 minutes 38 seconds. She ended up running it in 7 minutes 55 seconds. We were amazed by how fast she ran! Maybe she will end up being my running buddy someday.

TREY'S BROKEN ARM!

Last Monday we were having Family Home Evening on the couch. We were just about done when Jared did something funny and made the kids laugh. Of course, they got all hyper and Trey started jumping on the couch. Within about a minute or so he had fallen off right onto his arm. He was crying so hard and I could tell when I picked him up that something was wrong with his arm. We ended up in the emergency room until late that night. He was such a good little boy at the hospital. He never cried and was completely cooperative. He looks so cute in his little cast. It is amazing how adaptable little kids are. He pretty much does everything he did before and never complains about it. He even caught two fish with only one arm at the fish farm. He is such a good boy!

Dance Competition and Va-Del Revue!

Madison had a great year of dancing and gymnastics. She is so lucky to have her grandma and aunts as her teachers! They are wonderful! Madison got to perform at two competitions (one in Logan and the other Roy) and the dance revue at Bear River High School. The girls all looked so cute and did such a great job!

SPRING BREAK 2010!

For spring break this year I took the kids to the Living Planet Aquarium and Temple Square. The kids loved the water animals! I think we all agreed that the penguins were our favorite. We also enjoyed such beautiful weather at temple square. It was the nicest day we have had all year. The flowers were beautiful! We also went on the tour of the Conference Center and roof. The kids thought it was pretty neat!

Happy Easter 2010

We had a great Easter this year full of lots of egg hunts with cousins, coloring and eating eggs, lots of candy, family parties, good food, and full Easter baskets. The only thing we could have changed is having some warmer weather. We woke up to a little snow Easter morning. When Trey saw the snow he started to cry and said "I want it to be spring". The kids have had a bad case of spring fever lately, so we are anxious for some warmer weather.

St. George Vacation!

Jared's parents just bought a home in St. George, so we decided to get out of the cool weather for 5 days and enjoy some warmer weather in sunny St. George. It wasn't quite as warm as we thought it would be, but still warm enough to get outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We did a lot in the short amount of time we were there. We enjoyed 4 beautiful hikes, swimming every day, playing at the sand dunes, jumping around at Jumping Jacks, eating and playing games at Pirate Island, the boys went golfing and Krista and I enjoyed a massage and lunch. It was such a refreshing get away. The kids have been asking to go back every day since.

Mayan Riviera Vacation!

For Christmas this year Jared surprised me with a vacation to the Mayan Riviera, Mexico. We left on December 28. It was quite the rush getting ready to go with the busy holidays, but it was worth it! We have been married for almost 10 years and haven't been on a vacation with just the two of us since our honeymoon. Jared did a wonderful job planning and even finding babysitters for the entire week. We stayed at a quiet all inclusive couples resort on the beach. It was so peaceful and beautiful! We spent most of the time relaxing and reading at the resort. The snorkeling was awesome! We saw about 10 sea turtles, a barracuda the size of me, stingray, puffer fishes, and hundreds of other beautiful fish. We went kayaking, played beach volleyball, visited the Tulum ruins, Akumal beach, shopped in Playa Del Carmen, drank lots of frozen drinks, and ate wonderful food! We had a 5 course dinner at a different fancy restaurant every night. The presentation of the food was awesome! We even brought in the New Year on the beach with mechanical bull riding, a live band and fireworks. We had such a wonderful time! It was hard to say goodbye to the warm weather and return to the cold, but we were excited to see the kids again!

Christmas 2009

We had such a wonderful Christmas this year! We enjoyed spending lots of time with family, eating lots of good food, and watching the kids experience the magic of Christmas!

The kids did such a great job taking turns opening gifts. We took our time and opened each toy once it was unwrapped. The kids loved their gifts!

Trey's favorite gifts were his shark book, toy sharks and fishing pole. He loves sharks! A week after Christmas he could name all the different kinds of sharks in his book.

Teige's favorite gift was "The Blue Elephant" movie he got from his cousin. He slept with it Christmas Eve night. At 5:30AM Christmas morning, he sat in the hall looking at it until we woke Madison and Trey up.

I think Madison loved all her gifts equally. When she opened her pogo stick she said "I must have been really good to get this gift." She was missing her two front teeth for Christmas. She sang "All I Want For Christmas is my Two Front Teeth" for all the family parties.

Madison's 7th Birthday!

Madison just celebrated her 7th birthday, and I do have to say, she is pretty spoiled. She started off the birthday week on Wednesday with a date with Grandma White. They ate pancakes at Denny's, opened gifts from grandma and grandpa, and then spent some one on one time with grandma. Friday was her real birthday which started off with breakfast in bed, seeing her new fish in her fish aquarium and then opening her razor scooter before school. At school, her class friends made her a birthday book, sang "Happy Birthday" to her and she passed out a treat and prize. That afternoon she took a couple friends to Chucky Cheese's for a night full of pizza, games, rides, cupcakes and prizes. Sunday, we had the grandparents over for cake and ice cream. I think Madison is pretty spoiled! We love her so much and are so proud of the wonderful girl she is becoming!

Halloween 2009!

The kids had a great time trick or treating. We loved hearing Trey say "Trick or Treat". They did a great job walking, but were pretty exhausted after about an hour. Madison was a cute witch with a missing front tooth, Teige a tough fire fighter and Trey a dragon. They were so cute!

We can't believe our cute little Trey Bear is two years old! He has grown up so much in the last year. He has such a cute and fun personality. He loves anything that is funny and he is turning into a big tease. He had been talking about having a dino cake for his birthday for a month. Every time we would ask him what he wanted for his birthday, he would say "dino cake". We had to have cake first at his birthday party because he wouldn't stop crying for his dino cake. He got spoiled like always with a cozy coupe car, basketball hoop, magneatos, and a cuddly puppy.

First Day of 1st Grade!

Today was Madison's first day of 1st grade and her first time going to school all day. She loved it! She has a great teacher and already knows a lot of the kids in her class. She is such a smart girl! We know that she will do great this year!

1st Missing Tooth!

Last night we were trying to get Madison to bed at a good time since today was the first day of 1st grade. Before she went to bed her first wiggly tooth was just barely hanging on. We kept trying to beg her to pull it out, but she was too scared. We didn't want to push her to much, so we told her to just go to bed and we would work on it tomorrow. At about 9PM she came down and said, "You will never believe what I just did." We knew she had finally done it. She was so excited! She sure looks different without that tiny bottom tooth.

Box Elder County Parade and Fair

We had a great time this past week attending the biggest event which comes to Tremonton every year, the Box Elder county parade and fair. We were so proud of what a great job Madison did dancing in the parade. She looked so cute! She never complained about how hot it was or how tired she got. The boys enjoyed watching the horses, fire trucks, four wheelers, eating and catching all the candy.

The kids loved dancing to the music at the fair! Teige has some great moves!

Madison got to have a two night slumber party with her second cousin Mikaela. The first night they spent at grandma and grandpa Spjut's house. Grandma Spjut taught the girls to paint beautifully on Saturday. That night we took the kids to the fair again. They rode the ferris wheel and won the cute stuffed animals playing darts. Mikaela went to church with us on Sunday and then back to grandma Spjut's to finish their paintings. They had such a great time!

TEIGE'S 4TH BIRTHDAY!

It's hard to believe that our handsome little Teige is 4 years old. He was pretty spoiled for his birthday. We had a BBQ, cake, presents, and the kids broke the bug pinata they worked so hard creating. Teige got his first real bike and helmet, lots of cars with a carrying case, stomp rocket, transformer, skate boarder, bug vacuum, and a backyard safari habitat. Teige loves checking out cars and their wheels. He knows the names of all the cars by looking at their symbols. He knows what everyone drives. Today when someone came over to the house, he said "Mom, somebody is here who drives a Pontiac". He loves driving through the car dealership and parking lot so he can name all the vehicles. He has such a cute personality! He is always giving me hugs, kisses and telling me he loves me. He loves to eat, play with his brother and sister, turn on the water outside, ride his bike and tricycle, and draw car symbols. We love him so much and are so glad he is part of our family!

Madison is officially graduated from kindergarten. They had such a cute graduation program where they sang and received their graduation certificate. This school year has gone by so fast and Madison has learned and grown so much! We are so proud of what a great daughter she is!

The kids are having so much fun running around outside this spring. They love catching bugs, riding their bikes and scooters, playing at the park, digging in their new sand box, and being out in the sunshine. Madison is graduating from kindergarten next week, Teige is learning the names of every vehicle he sees, and Trey is talking nonstop (Somethings we understand and others we just pretend we know what he is saying). Things are going great for us! Springtime is such a fun time of the year!

VALENTINE'S DAY!

For Valentine's Day this year the men took it upon themselves to do something special for us! Russell, Scott and Jared had a planning meeting together Thursday night, shopped for the food on Friday, and made a spectacular dinner for us on Saturday (Valentine's Day)! When we arrived at Jared's parents house that night, the table was set nicely with candles and red roses for the center piece. They seated us and served us the entire night. We began with P.F. Changs lettuce wraps. I do have to say, they were excellent! We then had king crab legs, followed by salmon over asparagus and angle haired pasta with cream sauce. The presentation was awesome! Dessert was delicious! We had chocolate ice cream rolled in heath bar, vanilla ice cream rolled in coconut, and a strawberry topped with melted chocolate and whip cream. I was so impressed with such an awesome job the boys did! We will have to make it a tradition!

Treehouse Museum!

After all the snow and cold weather, I decided to take the kids to the Treehouse Museum to work out the stir crazy bugs. I had a great time chatting with my sister while the kids explored with their cousins. Trey loved the fish, Teige loved the freedom to explore, and Madison loved creating things. We all had a great time!

Fun at Kynzie and Brenton's Wedding

My sister Kynzie just got married on Dec. 18 in the Logan temple. It was such a fun day for the family. Everyone looked so cute in their red, black, and white. Madison was the flower girl with her cousin Savannah. Teige loved helping with the food in kitchen during the reception, and poor Trey was so tired because he didn't get a very good nap that day. I love the picture of Kynzie and Brenton with all the neices and nephews. I can't believe you can actually see all the kids faces! We cannot believe how fast time flies. We are enjoying the winter and all the snow we have on the ground!

MADISON'S 6TH BIRTHDAY

Our cute little Madison just turned 6 years old. On her real birthday Jared and I both had to work. We still wanted to make her B-Day special, so we made her crepes in bed, which is our family tradition. She then got her birthday bike, lunch with grandma and a special birthday lasagna for dinner. That Saturday we celebrated with two birthday parties! She had a friends party in the morning and a family party in the evening. She got so spoiled. She is a wonderful daughter and is learning more each day. She can now read and write short messages on her own. We just found out that she has bad vision, so she is now wearing glasses. We will have to post a picture of her styling in her glasses next. We are proud of her!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

On Halloween, Jared's mom had us over for Hallow-weiners. Hot dogs with a roll shaped into a snake wrapped around it. They were so cute and tasty. We then went trick or treating around their neighborhood with their cousins Lillie and Lukas. The kids had a great time, but they tired out quickly. That was okay with us so they didn't get too many treats. It was such a beautiful night with the perfect temperature! We then went back to grandma and grandpa's house and the kids helped pass out toothbrushes and candy. I think they had funner handing out the candy than receiving it. Trey had fun playing in the candy basket. Trick or Treating sure wore them out. Madison and Teige ended up falling asleep on the couch and Trey in his car seat.

Trey's One-Year-Old Birthday!

Well, Trey's birthday was a month ago and I am barely getting around to posting it. He had a great birthday with his grandmas, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He loved opening gifts with all of his cousin's help, getting lots of attention, eating cake and ice cream, and trying to beat his brother and sister at blowing out his candles. If you can tell by the picture, it was quite the race to get the candles out. He is such a sweet little boy! He is just happy crawling for now. He does great with the stairs and is trying to keep up with his busy brother and sister. We love him tons!

Madison Is Growing Up!

Madison has been able to experience many new things lately. She just started morning Kindergarten at North Park school. She absolutely loves it! She didn't seem too nervous on her first day, but when we look back at her pictures, her face seems to show a little bit of nerves. She has already met a new friend named Skylee. She entered one of her paintings into the fair. She was so proud of it and the ribbon she got. She also was able to dance in the Fair Days Parade with her grandma's dance studio. She did a great job and we were really proud of her for walking and dancing such a long way in the heat. She said it wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. Madison loves using her imagination, helping around the house and with her brothers, building forts, swimming (she is a fish!), playing with cousins, drawing, painting and anything artistic. She has her first soccer game today!

Teige Loves Summer!

Our curious little Teige is such a chatter box. He will talk anyone's ear off with lots of questions and great ideas. He has loved playing outdoors this summer. He loved playing in the sand at Bear Lake, camping, swimming, watching a couple parades and catching loads of candy, riding rides at the fair, and figuring out how everything in our new house works. He loves anything with wheels, trying to do the parade dance Madison performed in the parade, playing with playdough, turning on the sprinklers, playing with cousins, and is getting a new passion for drawing.

Trey Loves To Make Messes!

Our cute little Trey is now on the move. He is crawling and standing up to everything. He babbles constantly and tries to repeat what we are saying. He loves to clap, giggle, give you five, and smile. He keeps us smiling every day. If you can't tell by the pictures, he loves to feed himself and make a mess, eat everything in sight (especially the sand at Bear Lake-Yummy), and keep us busy. He has loved being outside this summer!

Jared's Softball Team Takes 2nd Place!

Jared was in charge of a softball team this summer. He had a great time playing with some old buddies. They did great all season and were able to play for championship. At the beginning of the championship game, Jared was up to bat and swung so hard that he pulled a muscle in his side. He had to take it easy the rest of the game, which he was bummed about. They ended up losing by one point.

TEIGE'S 3RD BIRTHDAY!

Teige had such a fun 3rd birthday! He started the day off with breakfast in bed. He did surprisingly well at not spilling. We then had a party for him in the evening. We ate snacks, Teige opened presents, the kids broke a pinata, and we had cake and ice cream. We let Teige hang out by the cake for a couple minutes after he blew out his candles, just to see what he would do. He ate the top off the cones, ate the crumbled oreos with the shovel, stuck his hand in the frosting and licked it, and drove the small wheel barrel on the cake. He is such a cute, fun, mischevious, curious, and busy kid, but we love him to pieces. It couldn't have been a better day!

It's official now, Jared is a dentist! He has been practicing for over a month now and is thoroghly loving it. He is so lucky to have such a wonderful place to practice. They just knocked out the wall and remodeled to make the entire building one big office. He is staying very busy with patients and has even had the chance to do several emergencies on the weekend. He is great dentist and everyone loves having him back! Jared and his dad spent all day on Saturday painting and putting up his name on his sign.

This is our beautiful new home! We are still trying to get it all put together both inside and outside, but it is coming along great. It feels so comfy and the kids are having fun with all the space and a yard of their own!

THE BIG MOVE!

Well, it has been two months now since our big move from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Tremonton, Utah but we thought we should post it any way. Our trip across the country went pretty smooth considering we had three little kids in a small Ford Focus. We left at 6PM on a Saturday night and decided to pull an all-nighter since the kids were sleeping so sound. We drove over 1,000 miles straight and arrived in Palmyra, New York to see the church history sights at 10:30AM on Sunday. We were pretty tired, so we didn't stay there long and headed to my sister's house in Buffalo, New York. We had a great time hanging out with them for three nights. We then pulled another long 16 hour day and drove another 1,000 miles straight to Jared's cousin's place in Des Moines, Iowa. We had a great time visiting with them for 2 nights. We then were hoping to drive another 1,000 miles in a day all the way home, but about half way across Nebraska we got caught in a terrible blizzard and they closed the freeway. Luckily, we found out the road was closed in the early afternoon because we got one of the last hotel rooms. We ended up traveling the next day on slippery roads for two hours, but the rest of the drive was great. We arrived at our new home in Utah the following Saturday!

Trey's Blessing Day!

Trey is now 4 months old. Jared gave him a beautiful blessing on Sunday, Feb. 3 in Halifax. Trey looked just like an angel in his white suit. He is such a great little baby and we are so lucky to have him in our family. We love him so much!

Christmas Nativity

Okay, so this post is a little out of order. We had a nativity for FHE 2 weeks before Christmas with some our Dental school friends from Utah. They kids were great and we had a good night with everyone. Here are the 4th Year "Utah Boys".

The Little Drummer!

Trey had a great first Christmas! His favorite gift were some toys that stand up and have fun animal faces on them. He spent a long time talking and laughing at them. We had a great time watching him! Jared decided to grow a Santa beard. He has been busy studying for his boards, so he hasn't had much time for shaving. Or, maybe he just wants to stay a little warmer in this cold winter weather.
Teige was the first one awake on Christmas morning. He came running into our room and said "It's Christmas!" He loved emptying his stocking and opening gifts, but didn't last long because he felt worn out with his cold and lack of sleep. He took a nap at 9:30AM and then finished opening his gifts when he was refreshed. He loved this mini fridge with food. He pretended all day that he was giving us a drink. He would put all the food in his remote control dump truck and dump the food out over and over.
Madison loved Christmas!

Madison is giving her gift to Teige that she bought with her own money. She even wrapped it all by herself and put the flowers on top. She has been excited for the last two weeks to give it to him.

Christmas Eve

The Monday before Christmas, we made a Rice Krispie house for the holidays. The kids had a ball putting candy and frosting on the house. Teige loved putting his finger in the frosting and licking it. If you look closely at his PJ's you can tell they are a mess!
Since we stayed in Halifax for Christmas, we decided it would be fun to get together with our friends on Christmas Eve night. We had our party at the church since there too many of us for our town home. We had a great time! We had some yummy food, Santa visited and brought all the kids a gift (Trey missed out because he was sleeping), and everyone put together a number with their family for our Christmas program. Madison sang "Christmas Don't Be Late", and Jared, Madison and I painted our chins with eyes and a nose and lip sang upside down to "Rudolph". It was fun seeing what everyone else came up with. On our way home from the party the kids were anxiously watching the sky for any sign of Santa. Madison thought she saw him. When we got home we watched "Family Time with Santa" and the kids were out like a light!

Thanksgiving Time

Trey Russell White. Also known as our little "Trey Bear". This is at about 2 months.

We had 3 of my good Canadian friends in my dental class over to celebrate their 1st American Thanksgiving. Chris Baker, Caleb Porter, and Amanda Hill.
Madison and Teige are honestly artists. They love it, especially Madison. She will spend hours drawing pictures

A Fun Halloween!

Halloween was great. Trey was a mummy, Teige was a little muscle man, and Madison was a Giraffe. We had so much fun just watching how much the kids enjoyed getting dressed up and going trick or treating. Teige thought he had football pads on and would keep tackling the giraffe. We had an awesome night at our friends house Brig and Annie Young. We had most all of our Nova Scotian friends there with their families and had great food, and lots of good costumes. Kim brought the kids to dental school all dressed up to see me for lunch and everyone there loved to see them. A couple of the dental assistants at the school had to take them around to show them off to everyone they knew.

The kids could have tricked and treated all night. Teige's bag was dragging on the ground and Madison had a very hard time trying to be patient enough to wait for her brother to catch up to her. Teige would talk to every house we went to. There was one house that had speakers outside and would had spooky sound and screams and Teige kept on talking about the "Scary house" all night. Well, that's it for now.

Lisa Visits Nova Scotia

My little sister Lisa decided to fly from San Fransico just after Trey was born and stay with us for a week and help Kimberli and the kids out. She was so awesome and such a big help. It was so fun to have her here and we really think that Lisa is one in a million and it made us really miss not being close to family after Trey was born. Our kids think Lisa is the greatest in the world and Madison was so sad that she lost her roommate.

Lisa spent all day everyday playing with the kids. I wish I wouldn't have been so busy that week in dental school and could have played around a little more. Madison and Lisa shared the same double bed all week and every morning Lisa would wake up and see Madison eyes staring at her waiting for her to wake up and give her aunt Lisa a big hug.

We had an authentic fresh Nova Scotian lobster dinner one night and it was sooooo good. Lisa and I brought them home alive and we cooked them at home. Teige is trying to figure out how he is going to eat his. The only thing that I regret is that we didn't really take very many pictures while she was here. Oh well. Thanks again Lisa!
